About This Game
Final Fight established the template for modern beat 'em up games with its combo-based combat system, environmental weapons, and cooperative two-player gameplay.
The game was originally conceived as a sequel to Street Fighter before evolving into its own franchise, featuring larger character sprites and more detailed urban environments than previous beat 'em ups.
Praised for its fluid animation and impactful combat, Final Fight became one of Capcom's most successful arcade titles and spawned numerous sequels and crossovers in the Street Fighter universe.
